ABOUT
Through many locally supported fundraisers, we hope to raise money to support a charity in need. There are countless homeless and struggling citizens that are trying to overcome obstacles by rebuilding their lives, and they need our help. We wish to add some positivity to our community and uplift those around us who need a helping hand.
Why did we start this project?
We recognize that the recent pandemic brutally affected Ontarians and many other people in the country as well. Our goal for the Lotus Project is to uplift those who need a hand and stand as supporters to those who are less fortunate than we are.
Who are we?
The Lotus Project was created and is fully managed by university students based in Ottawa. We aspire to make a difference in the lives of the people around us and inspire others to follow in our footsteps.
When did we start this project?
The conversation came up around October 2020 about starting a project to help a local women's shelter in Ottawa. In order to launch in December of 2020, we were very busy over a period of two months to put together a plan, set up social medias, and gather supporters.

Where are we based?
Currently, we are completing bachelor's degrees in Ottawa, Ontario and we run our accounts and fundraisers remotely.
How do we plan to fundraise for those in need?
Our project is all about uplifting those around us and so we plan to hold fundraisers that not only raise money, but also support local businesses in need.
What do we want to accomplish?
Our goal is to raise money for initiatives and shelters in Ottawa by running campaigns through our project in a variety of methods. We hope to bring some light and happiness into the lives who need it most.
